Steam Vent
These glacial steam vents - or geysers - are periodic, intense hot water vapour eruptions that emerge from crevices in the ice sheet.
The temperature of the steamy water eruption is hot enough to cause severe first-degree burns in any accidental bystander, though standard Alterra multi-purpose dive suits are sufficient for averting skin damage.
