Sabotaged Lab

I found a lab that looked like it had been sabotaged intentionally. The outside was mostly intact, and the equipment inside seemed like it might have been appropriate for bacteriology-- before a fire tornado ran through it. Is it somehow related to Sam's death? Who would have wanted to destroy the place?
